MOD Cut Out Gloves

These are so cute and I've never seen anything like them. Adorable thumbless Van Raalte gloves in white and red nylon with perky red daisy accents. Photos sent to me by an Ebay seller patlinnea who was trying to ID them. Based on the tag font ( used after 1962 or so) , and mod styling I would say these are 1960s gloves. These gloves are currently up for auction on Ebay.

I do believe these gloves are used for putting on nylon stockings or pantihose. I remember seeing something like these on eBay several years ago, and the seller stated that these were made just for this purpose.

Well I disagree. The red piping, cool cutouts and daisy decoration clearly say "fashion glove" to me. Perhaps some women did buy plain white nylon gloves to wear while putting on delicate stockings; it would make them harder to get on but would cut down on snags.
